Matt Whipkey is a singer-songwriter and one of my oldest and closest friends. When the pandemic hit his world was turned upside down. He went through a divorce, found a new career and constructed his most personal album. From ballads to blistering rock, Hard is an journey through a landscape of heartbreak and solitude and the first release for the creative coterie known as Unusual. I designed and directed both the visual and promotional components of its release.
